"Christian Zionists" DVD Released
By staff writer, Apr 10, 2004

Zionists DVD Presence Ministries is proud to present a new 6-part DVD by Dr. Stephen Sizer entitled, "Christian Zionists-on the Road to Armageddon." This DVD was released to coincide with an international Christian conference in Jerusalem, April 14-18, that critiqued End-Time Bible prophecy with respect to its negative effect on the Arab-Israeli conflict. Dr. Sizer addressed the conference on the history and theology of this misguided millennialism. The conference was hosted by Sabeel, led by Dr. Naim Ateek. Sabeel exists to strengthen the identity, presence and witness of Palestinian Christians, descendants of the original Christians of the first-century. The conference theme was  "Challenging Christian Zionism: Politics, Theology, and the Israel-Palestine Conflict," and featured an evening address by the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Leaders Guide: The "Christian Zionists DVD" is a perfect for small group study. To help small group leaders use the DVD to spur on discussion and action, we have written up a reproducible "Discussion Guide." Also, we have prepared a 105-page "Christian Zionists: On the Road Map to Armaggedon" e-book, that you can circulate to those in your study, encouraging them to read before each session. The ebook and discussion guide are on your DVD.

2. How would you biblically respond to the "Greater Israel" claim that God promised the Jews the Land from Egypt to Iraq?

3. What was Jesus' and Paul's attitude toward Jerusalem and Herod's Temple? How do you feel about present day claims to rebuild the third Jewish Temple?

Session Four:

1. From your experience, is Sizer correct to assert that Christian Zionists foster anti-Arab prejudices? Is so, how? If not, why not?

2. In contrast to national Jewish expectations, what was Jesus' vision for his own nation?

3. What do you consider to be an authentic understanding of Bible prophecy, in contrast to Hal Lindsey's view of prophecy as "pre-written history" of the end of the world?
